OpenRoot studies how digital identity can remain distinct from location and network paths, allowing the same entity to be verified as routes and transports change.
WHY
Separate the path from the proof of identity.
Most communication closely couples who an endpoint is with where it can be reached. OpenRoot explores a structure in which persistent identity remains independent, while signed information describes how that identity can currently be reached.

PROOF / STATUS
A bounded physical result.
In a controlled environment, authenticated Message / ACK exchange succeeded 30 out of 30 times over one non-IP audio-cable path. It is evidence for that single experiment, not a production deployment.
